Honda Passport Motorcycle

honda passport motorcycleHello guys,

Can’t you believe this Honda passport motorcycle picture? This is for real. Unbelievable, right? First, I’d like to apologize to the owner of this Honda passport. I promised to him to post this picture as soon as possible. You know, I broke my promise to him. But I make it today.

In case someone wants to contact him, he also gave me his cell phone number and his full name but then again, I lost it. I think he is the chairman of Banyumas Honda Club (BHC) or something like that. I’m not sure about this. But please, if anyone knows about he let me know. Thanks, bro!

honda c70,honda passport, honda super cub, honda passport motorcycleHonda C70. This is not making any senses! Where you've been? Yes, I know. May be some of you, my reader, asked that question to me. Don't make any excuses, okay? Just admit it, you are lazy updating your blog, right? No...No...I've been so busy the past couple weeks! Okay, so what you have for your reader now...

Check this out...!

After waiting for long time, finally I found a Honda C70 stop by in my shop. This Honda C70 has a new paint. Well, I think that is cool! The owner has also changed the saddle cover with mix color. Look at the rear absorber, this is not the original spare part for Honda C-70.

honda c70,honda passport, honda super cub, honda passport motorcycleWhen you see on the right picture you will also notice that some parts of this Honda C70 also changed to another model. That is common in Indonesia, Most Honda C70's owner realized that it is difficult to find original spare part for Honda C70 in Indonesia.

That's why they do whatever it takes to maintain their Honda C-70 running. I don't know in other countries have similar issues with people here in Indonesia. I predict a lot Honda C70's owner around the world could not easily find the spare part they want. I do have one good online source for anything about Honda C70, just go Honda Motorcycle Sparepart. I hope you can find what you looking for.

Back to this picture above, the owner said to my mechanic that this Honda C70 has problem with its carburetor and condensor. Whenever to speed up this honda C70 it just won't go higher speed. So, my mechanic check the engine.

After a few hours, check and recheck, this Honda C70 ready to roll. The owner is satisfy. And we are happy too.

Honda passport
Honda Passport. Hi, I am back! It’s been a while I have not updated my blog. I’m really sorry about that. It’s not because I’m lazy but merely hard to find Honda C70 around my town. But here we are I write a fresh article about Honda C-70 I found stop by in my shop. Enjoy it!

After looking, searching and waiting….finally I can take a picture of Honda C70 which parked in front of my shop of course with approval of the owner. This guy is seeking for a battery for his double starter Honda C-70 but this double starter was not working any longer. So I suggested to him that he can modify the battery using single starter to reduce the cost of battery price. And then he agreed it.

Honda passportHe needs the battery to support the electricity of his Honda C70 because all the lamps: head lamp, sign and stop lamps and the horn don’t work properly. The lamps are too weak especially when he must completely stop the bike in front of the traffic light.

He also mentioned to me that he already changed the electrical system from contact breaker assy (contact point set) to CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition). This changing make system ignition much easier to handle if it gets trouble.

Let’s talk about the Honda C70. When you see those pictures you can find a lot of modification has been done. He changed the exhaust muffler from the original to Honda Grand, two sides mirror have been replaced with Yamaha’s mirrors. When you take closer look to this Honda Passport you also see some modifications for its carburetor, this Honda Passport using Honda Grand’s carburetor. And he replaced the air filter with the modified one.

Honda passportHonda passportHonda passport

Surprisingly, after a detail and thoroughly check, I can assure you that this Honda C70’s engine is still running very good. You can see how clean the engine is. No dripping oil anywhere in the engine. Cool! If you go further with the rear shock absorber, you can see that this still original part but not for the saddle. He modified it.

Honda passportHonda passport

Last shot, look at the paint! I know that the paint still the original color that is why so fade in same parts of the body.

It’s up to you to place your opinion about this Honda C70!

Catch up with you soon with another Honda C-70 article!

Ciao…

Honda C70 - AD5217FC | Really Cool One!

Honda C70. I see this Honda C-70 come close to my shop. Two ladies are riding this Honda motorcycle. They are so happy and look like so proud of their bike. I admit it. I asked to one of them whether the engine is still original or using other Honda engines.

She admitted that the engine of this Honda C-70 is not original anymore she replaced it with Honda Supra's engine. Yes…. I knew it. Because I was thinking this Honda C-70's engine was difference with its original. So basically this Honda C70 does a lot of makeover in order to keep this Honda C-70 motorcycle keep running on the street.

Honda passport Motorcycle
Honda Super cub
It is very common here in Indonesia people who own Honda C70 do a lot of makeover to maintain their Honda C70 working as suppose to be. Because this Honda C-70 was manufactured first time around 1970’s so it is very difficult now to find spare part to replace the old ones.

Back to this picture, we see some parts of this Honda C-70 motorcycle still in its original. Like rear shock absorber, stop lamp and so on.

Honda passport Motorcycle
Honda passport Motorcycle
Also if we look little deeper we can see that this Honda C70 was repainting not long ago, because the paint is so shining. Back to the Honda C-70's engine…. As we can see here the engine looks like new too.

Honda passport Motorcycle
Overall this Honda C70 is still in good shape. The owner must be proud of it. See you in next article.

Honda C70 - R6949UH

Honda C70. I was doing nothing at that time, but suddenly I saw a guy with Honda C70 came to my shop. He asked to the mechanic to check if his Honda C70 needs to replace some spare parts. After carefully checked that Honda C-70, my mechanic said it needs to replace the dumper set and also the brake shoes.

Honda passport motorcycle

This Honda C70 still in good condition. It barely can view in this picture above. And also still have original leg shield. Most Honda C70 nowadays never has it anymore. So it's a credit for this Honda Passport motorcycle.

Honda passport motorcycle

You can also see those 2 side mirrors. I came close to see whether these side mirrors original or imitation. But I come to my surprise that these are original. Another credit for this Honda C70.

Honda C70

I talked to the owner about how you take care this Honda C-70 motorcycle so this Honda C70 still pretty nice. He said he already spent a lot of money to maintain this bike in good condition. But he is happy and satisfy about what he has done with this Honda C-70 motorcycle. Yes, sure he is!

Honda C70

Another thing is the Honda C-70's engine still running smoothly without making unnecessary noice. I think he really takes a good care to his Honda C-70.

Honda C70

I bet a lot of Honda C70 lover will be proud to have this in hand. But unfortunately he doesn't want to sell it. Good Job Dude!

Honda C70. Another red color Honda C70 stop by to my shop. The owner is an old guy, just another ordinary man. He told to my mechanic that the Honda C70's engine suddenly stop and doesn’t want to run.

He explain that a little while ago he charged the battery for his Honda C70. But still the engine doesn’t want running. He ask help to my mechanic for his Honda C70.

This kind of Honda C70, still in good condition. I think it depends on the owner to take care of his honda C-70 motorcycle. You can see the picture below.

"KUMAMOTO, Japan, February 8, 2006 – Honda Motor Co., Ltd. announced that total worldwide production of the Super Cub reached 50 million units at the end of December 2005. A favorite with customers since its launch in 1958, the Honda Super Cub has become the first motor vehicle to achieve total worldwide production of 50 million units.1

Honda Super Cub

The first-generation Super Cub made its debut in Japan in 1958. The creative design also featured a low-floor backbone frame for convenient mounting and dismounting, a lever-free centrifugal clutch for easy shifting, large plastic leg shields to protect riders’ legs from dirt and wind, and other innovations. A Guide to Buying Your First Motorcycle

By Isla Campbell

Motorcycle. The thrill of riding a motorbike is a wonderful experience and unlike any other form of transport. If, like so many others, you are thinking of buying your first bike, a few simple steps can prevent you from buying something you'll just want to trade in after a few months.

Being the first owner of a new bike can be a privilege, but one that comes at a price. Bikes depreciate a lot quicker than cars, and this is especially true with new bikes, losing at least 15% of their value as soon as you've ridden it out of the showroom. If you're an inexperienced driver the drop in value in the first weeks is pretty high, significantly affecting the vehicle's resale price. If you do choose to buy new, make sure you intend to keep it for a while in order to minimise the effects of the initial loss.

Most dealers will carry a range of second hand bikes or trade-ins for sale. These won't be as cheap as the ones you can find from private sellers, but a reputable trader will ensure the bike isn't stolen, allow you to test ride it without arranging your own insurance and offer a warranty or service package.

Private sellers will be able to provide you with a bargain, but this requires more effort and vigilance. If possible, arrange to view bikes you are interested in the same day you see it advertised. Most people won't be able to view until the next day or even days later, giving you plenty of time to check the bike's history and negotiate a price.

If you have friends or family who are knowledgeable about motorbikes, take them with you to curb your enthusiasm when needed. If you don't, check if the bike is clean and tidy to gauge whether it's been looked after. Ask the seller to show you the bike and explain the controls to show you how familiar they are with the bike, a good indicator of how well they've taken care of it.

Once you're satisfied that the Motorcycle is in order, check the necessary paperwork, such as the MOT and V5 certificates, owner's manual and the service book. You should also obtain a receipt of the sale, in case the owner should attempt to report it stolen afterwards and carry out a HPI check, to ensure that the bike isn't subject to any outstanding finance arrangement.

Regardless of your current credit rating, there are several motorcycle providers who can help to arrange bike finance, making it easier than ever to get that bike of your dreams. If you do decide to arrange finance for your new motorcycle, make sure you afford the repayments, as making payments on time can help build or even repair a good credit rating.

So with summer only a few months away, follow the aforementioned steps in order to experience the road the way only riding a motorbike can.

Honda Super Cub and 50cc Honda Cub - A Classic!

By: Daniel Levy

Honda Super Cub. A very clever design: the Honda Super Cub was the combination of a moped and a scooter. It attracted many people due to its friendly and non intimidating look. People who before had felt threatened by bigger motorcycles, approached and adopted this model very quickly.

It was a versatile motorcycle and had enough power to carry two passengers or a passenger with luggage. Its large diameter tires and wide seats made the ride almost as comfortable as the touring bikes from that time.

Honda 50cc Cub and Super Cub FACTS

" In 1952 Honda built 7000 units of this bike which represented the 70% of the entire production of Japanese motorcycles for that year.

" Thanks to this model Honda Motorcycles were absolute market leaders during 1953 and 1954.

It’s worth mentioning that those were very competitive days. There were many manufacturers competing for a very fast growing and demanding market.

" The Honda Super Cub was the equivalent of the Ford T or the Volkswagen Beetle for automobiles. As of 1992 Honda Motorcycles had built 20 million of these machines.

" The Honda 50cc Super Cub was exported to 120 countries.

As the Volkswagen Beetle, the Honda Super Cub didn't change much through time. Just take a look at the technical data below:

-> Four stroke horizontal engine.

-> 49 cc of displacement

-> Three speed semi-automatic gearbox.

-> U-shaped frame in stamped steel.

Honda C70, Passport, Super CubHonda C70, Passport, Super Cub

Hi There!

Honda C70. I found another Honda C70 in my shop a few days ago. I talked to the owner for minutes and he wanted to fix some electrical problems for his Honda C-70 motorcycle. Well, I said to him it’s going to take time while he came to my shop in the late afternoon. It won’t finish in that day.

Honda C70, Passport, Super CubHonda C70, Passport, Super CubHonda C70, Passport, Super Cub

Anyway, look at this Honda C-70! I think this Honda C70 still in good shape. Some changing has been made but it’s tolerable. He replaced regular velg with racing velg. It looks nicer.

Honda C70, Passport, Super CubHonda C70, Passport, Super Cub

I looked inside behind leg shield to see the carburetor and it seems he replaced it with Honda Grand carburetor. Well it’s normal here; in Indonesia people have problem to find original spare parts for Honda C70 Motorcycle.

Honda C70, Passport, Super Cub

Hmm, I knew for sure this rear absorber is also not the original one. But it’s okay as long as it works for this Honda C-70.

Okay guys, I promise I’ll come back with another new article about Honda C70 motorycle.
